Manager/Senior Manager

We are currently seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join us in our Atlanta or Charlotte office. KPMG's Financial Risk Management (FRM) Services professionals help management and boards of directors to identify, measure, and monitor financial and business risks, the relationships between risks and returns, and the control environment over the management and reporting of these risks. In the very complex world of financial instruments, FRM professionals have assisted in valuation approaches; stress testing, model development and risk rating, and measurement approaches to help management leverage the leading practices in risk identification and measurement. Structured Finance professionals specifically provide a comprehensive range of assistance to underwriters and issuers of mortgage-backed and asset backed securities to assist them in their efforts at managing risk and achieving other strategic and financial goals. Responsibilities for both positions: * Direct and deliver significant engagements that help deliver value to financial services clients through project management, creation of deliverables, and knowledge transfer * Support proposal and business development activities by identifying new target clients, building business relationships with key executives, and developing/presenting proposals * Provide leadership and oversight to KPMG team members regarding deliverables, project plans, and performance management * Assist the financial services industry clients in assessing operational risks associated with executing, reporting, and transactional activity * Assess the internal controls process and advise clients on improvement plans * Help improve the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls and related processes * Write and present to clients clear and concise reports and presentations containing meaningful recommendations * Serve as a leader in recruiting and retention efforts to grow/develop the Practice Additional responsibilities for Senior Manager: *Provide a leadership role on identified business development efforts *Lead business development efforts for primary target clients *Produce a defined business development credit either through own efforts or teaming efforts with others at KPMG Qualifications for both positions: * BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university * Five years experience in the financial services industry with competencies in at least one of the following: Mortgage, Retail Banking, Payments or Wholesale Banking * Willingness and ability to travel, as needed, at times with relatively short notice * Exceptional analytical and quantitative abilities * Ability to manage multi-disciplinary team * Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect at various levels * Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills * Demonstrated ability to make and sustain meaningful client relationships Additional qualifications for Senior Manager: *Ten years of related work experience *Demonstrated track record in business development * Progressive experience leading teams and managing projects KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
