Position Summary The Operations Resolution Manager (Inbound & Transportation) works as part of the eCommerce Operations team to identify and resolve issues related to Inbound shipments (to DC locations), Outbound Shipments (to customer) Product packaging, Transportation Systems, Shipping discrepancies (system, claims) and Warehousing and DSV issues. As these issues can have significant impact on the Walmart.ca business, timely resolution is critical and usually requires partnering across a variety of cross functional teams. The Operations Resolution Manager (Inbound & Transportation) drives cross-functional accountability through collaborative partnerships with DSV vendors, DC Operations, Accounting, Global eCommerce and Third Party Logistics (3PL) partners. The role requires very strong interpersonal skills and analytical reasoning capabilities. Communication, innovation and problem solving are all keys to success in this role.

In addition to identifying and resolving problems, the Operations Resolution Manager (Inbound & Transportation) conducts training on Walmart.ca systems and also works with Walmart Logistics and Supply Chain on the Store side to ensure goods movement from the Store supporting infrastructure meet the needs of eCommerce. This training is typically provided to (but not limited to) Transportation and DC Operations associates and associates in 3PL partner locations and may require traveling on-site to these facilities.

Position Responsibilities Manage the timely resolution of eCommerce receiving delays which may arise from supplier, carrier, item setup, warehouse and/or system issues. This includes but is not limited to purchase orders not downloaded, labeling issues, miss-ships, quantity discrepancies and system errors

Develop, maintain, and update decision support tools to report on issue trends (e.g. Remedy User Guide and issue resolution matrices)

Provide support to merchants and planners by investigating inventory discrepancies and items in trouble status

Ability to be “on call” during non-business hours for timely resolution of warehouse/supplier-related issues

Determine opportunities to reduce cost by auditing and analyzing the carrier data with Store Transportation (Freight Audit and Pay system).

Develop and maintain process to improve item attribute accuracy.

Travel to DSV and Inventory facilities to train and support facility operations especially during Holiday when problem freight can significantly increase and impact business operations

Responsible for analysis and development of packaging improvement initiatives to drive down “damaged in transit” returns.

Serve as the primary contact person between Walmart.ca, DC Operations, carriers (Couriers and LTL) and inventory facilities on all matters of eCommerce issue resolution

Develop and improve carrier on-time delivery, claims and return processes.

Qualifications - Bachelors Degree

- 3-5 years experience in Systems, Transportation, Warehousing
