We are currently seeking a Manager, Forensic Technology in our New York City office. KPMG ForensicSM uses computer forensic and data analysis techniques to help our clients detect fraudulent activity and other forms of misconduct. In addition, KPMG LLP, the U.S. member firm, operates the Cypress Technology Center (CTEC), which offers sophisticated technology tools and skilled professionals to help clients reduce litigation costs and risks in the areas of evidence and discovery management and the acquisition, management, and analysis of large data sets. Responsibilities: * Perform Computer Forensic services including digital evidence preservation, analysis, data recovery, tape recovery, electronic mail extraction, and database examination * Provide oversight for on-site examinations and collections * Provide technology advisory services to enhance forensic engagements * Research and develop new computer forensic tools and methodologies * Assess and troubleshoot a variety of technical issues * Support a computer forensic lab in a technically secure environment * Manage engagements Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology field from an accredited college/university or equivalent related work experience * Four years of experience in Computer Forensics and technical investigations * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Proficiency with PC hardware and networking * Proficiency with UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems * Proficiency with FAT32, NTFS, and EXT2/3 file systems * Advanced knowledge in industry Computer Forensic tools (EnCase, FTK, Paraben etc.), methodologies, and protocols * Proficiency with MicroSoft Exchange and Lotus Notes * Experience with SQL Server, ACL, PERL, and Shell Scripting is preferred * Experience in a technology advisory role is preferred * Ability to participate in moderate to extensive travel * Team player with a positive attitude and strong problem solving skills KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
