Manager, Finance

Fox Sports is currently looking for a Manager, Finance to report to the Director, Production Finance. This position is located on the Fox Studio Lot in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities:

 

* Prepare/analyze weekly flash reports and write supporting narrative

* In charge of closing monthly books. Prepare/review journal entries, financial statements and cash flow schedules.  Analyze balance sheet accounts and perform variance analysis

* Oversee annual budget process and quarterly forecasts.

* Review all reconciliation schedules including bank, overhead, marketing and research

* Manage intercompany transactions.

* Assist in preparing the weekly production flash schedules for each sporting event

* Review and approve invoices for coding and verify if budgeted

* Participate in implementation of new financial reporting tools such as GL Company and COGNOS.

* Supervise and mentor a financial analyst.  Review work for accuracy and completeness.

 

Requirements:

 Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 5-7 years public or private industry experience.Strong knowledge of excel and experience in E1 and Cognos helpful.Strong communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.Strong accounting and technical skills, plus understanding of internal controls.
