Manager, Exempt Organizations Tax Services
The KPMG Exempt Organizations Tax Practice (ExoTax) is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing practice in our Philadelphia office. The ExoTax group provides tax compliance and advisory services to Higher Education, Healthcare, Private Foundation, Cultural, Religious, Research, Trade Association, Pension Trust/Benefit Plans and other charitable and tax-exempt organizations. Our compliance services include the preparation of Forms 990, 990-T, 1120, 1065, foreign information filings and related state charitable and income tax returns. Responsibilities: * Supervise and serve as lead return reviewer for the ExoTax compliance practice * Assist not-for-profit audit teams with tax provision reviews * Develop and sustain excellent client relationships * Assist in providing advisory services and developing new business including add-on business * Keep up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law * Provide industry knowledge and experience * Mentor and train staff * Attain visibility/recognition in the local not-for-profit community Qualifications: * Five years experience with compliance and researching complex tax issues in the Exempt Organizations arena (990's, 990 PF's, 1120's, and UBIT). * Excellent advisory and compliance skills * Proficient in providing compliance and advisory services to colleges and universities, public charities, private foundations, healthcare organizations, social welfare organizations, business leagues, title holding companies, and other types of tax exempt organizations and their taxable and flow through affiliates * Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate complex information * Experience in managing multiple client engagements and client service teams * BA/BS degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university and one of the following: Master's Degree from an accredited college/university or licensed CPA KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
