Job Description The Financial Reporting and Analysis Division of Marriott’s corporate headquarters, located in Bethesda, Maryland, is seeking a  Manager, Accounting and Reporting who will report directly to the Director, Financial Reporting and Analysis for Luxury and International and be an integral member of the Financial Reporting team. This highly motivated individual will be responsible for the balance sheet and cash flow financial reporting and planning for Ritz-Carlton, Bvlgari, Edition and International (the brands).  The Manager will be responsible for developing technological improvements to current balance sheet and cash flow reporting processes. Responsibilities:· Manage the balance sheet reporting process for the brands. Identify key trends and highlight critical variances.  Develop and present complete key indicator reports to management.· Manage the cash flow reporting processes for the brands.  Ensure that cash flow forecasts are accurate and incorporate the most current information on development transactions.  Identify key risks and opportunities and develop appropriate reporting for corporate and lodging financial executives.· Ensure that all financial reports are prepared accurately, and on a timely basis and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles· Manage the brands balance sheet and cash flow budget and LRP processes.  Develop financial presentations to report the cash flow budget and LRP results to senior management.· Coordinate the brands quarterly SEC reporting requirements with the Balance Sheet group.· Manage the interim and annual audit processes for the brands.  Review interim and year-end PBCs for the brands.  Serve as the primary point of contact for audit inquiries from the external auditors.·  Actively participate in the financial reporting and transaction processes for brand property acquisitions and dispositions.· Ensure that balance sheet account reconciliations are current and that reconciling items are resolved on a timely basis.· Interface and coordinate with the International Finance Business Partner representatives on the reporting of the International brand P&L results. Gain an understanding of the transactions and issues impacting the brand results.· Cross train with the Ritz-Carlton and Bvlgari brand Assistant Manager to provide support for the P&L reporting deadlines as necessary.· Help manage and maintain cash flow reporting database and models.· Perform special financial reporting and analysis projects as directed by Financial Reporting and Analysis Management.·  Manage, motivate, develop and train associates.  Skill Requirements:· 5-7 years of progressive job experience in accounting.  · Strong computer skills.  Experience with spread sheet based programs (Excel).  PeopleSoft experience a plus.· Experience in Marriott Lodging or other MI business, a plus.· Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects while meeting required goals and deadlines.· Strong customer relations skills.  Customer service orientation.· Positive attitude and a high level of enthusiasm and energy.· Self starter and highly motivated.· Strong interpersonal skills.  Ability to work effectively with peers, subordinates and all levels of management.· Strong organizational skills.  Effective in prioritizing work and following through on commitments.· Strong communication skills.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  · Strong problem solving and analytical skills – ability to develop alternatives and solutions.· Strong management skills.  Ability to motivate others to perform at peak levels.· Demonstrated leader with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative work environment.  Educational Requirements:· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting· CPA preferred. For more information and/or to apply on line, please visit our website at www.marriott.com   To apply, you will need to select careers located at the bottom of the page, job search, management opportunities worldwide, search for careers opportunities, detailed search and enter the 6 digit number, 539836 into the job opening number field.     Take the next step toward experiencing success.
