MIS Programmer with a background in Business Accounting

 

 

Arlington, Texas based MIS consulting firm located a few blocks north of Six Flags is looking for a programmer with a background in business. The company is 20 years old, privately owned and specializes in installing the following Microsoft applications in a wide variety of business and industries mostly in the South East part of the USA:

 

Microsoft Dynamics NAV formally know as Navision

Microsoft Dynamics AX formally known as Axapta

Microsoft Dynamics GP formally know as Great Plains

 

The salary range is $60k to $80K, plus medical, dental and vision benefits. 25% to 30% travel is required. They are looking for a programmer who is willing to becoming certified in one of the above application at the company’s expense. This IS NOT a sales position but rather a programmer who assists team members within the firm to customize the application to meet each customer’s specific needs. Becoming certified in the application is required to perform these duties. Besides a background in programming it is essential to have a strong understanding of business, accounting and how various business are set up. Experience with C or C++ or C# or Java or .Net is required.

 This position requires a Bachelors degree with a concentration in Management Information Systems or Computer Science and some knowledge of accounting.  This role is responsible for the analysis of business problems across various industries and the development of extensions to enable standard software which provides the foundation for accounting, inventory and manufacturing.  The candidate should enjoy learning the details of schema’s, business logic in existing applications and leveraging that knowledge to solve unique business problems. This position will work with mid-level managers and the internal consulting team on a wide range of business and technical problems.
