MEDICAL AUDITOR Truman Medical Center has an immediate opening for Medical Auditor in their Internal Audit Department.Responsible for work which supports the Corporate Compliance Program. Under the direction of the Director of Compliance & Audit Services, conduct medical audits related to compliance which requires clinical knowledge and experience to correctly interpret medical records and related information. Accept and execute assignments and administrative matters with a high degree of variance and confidentiality. Assist in other facets of the Corporate Compliance Program, including education and the maintenance of documents, databases, and other records which must be highly accurate, current, and consistent with the requirements of the TMC Corporate Integrity Agreement and other federal and state regulations, statutes, or laws.Minimum Requirements:1.) Registered Nurse (ADN or BSN) with five years experience in a clinical setting, performance improvement, or utilization management OR an RHIA or RHIT with five years experience in performance improvement, utilization management, or medical auditing.2.) Experience within the past three years in ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS coding. Experience with performing audits inclusive of ICD-9, CPT and HCPCS coding.3.) Proficiency in personal computer applications, focus on Microsoft package.4.) Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others.5.) Independent judgment in investigation and preparation of documents.Preferred Qualifications:1.) Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field.2.)
