Local Intercompany Process Lead
Galleria area global O&G company is seeking a stellar candidate that will be reporting to the Intercompany - Global Process Lead, this role has key accountability for the management and global performance of the local Intercompany team. Leading a staff of 3-4 accounting professionals, this is a unique opportunity to be part of a larger team that is situated in numerous locations around the world.
Your challenge will be cultivating relationships with your peers in those locations to ensure continual improvement of processes to realize global standardization.
Accountabilities
You will be responsible for working collaboratively with other Local Process Leads to ensure process standardization on a global scale, and that the team delivers on their operational goals. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Review and analysis of Inter-company transactions, accounts and reporting declarations in compliance with accounting standards Update and maintenance of Global funding structure and eight digits register Review, analysis and maintenance of foreign exchange and the impact thereof on financial information Review and process Accounts Receivable and intercompany invoices and receipts Review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations Review and resolution of monthly intercompany mismatches in GSAP Timely and accurate management of high level queries and issues Ensure SOX requirements are met and maintained Ensure documentation relating to relevant procedures are developed and maintained Liaise with Customers and other Shared Service Centers Liaise with external auditors and various other groups within the company Familiarity with other accounting & administrative tasks, including: journal entries and historical research Initiate and participate in continuous process improvement activities Provide intercompany training to team staff, customers, and other team members
Qualifications and CompetenciesBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum 7 years' progressive experience in Finance Effective managerial, coaching and networking skills Experience in foreign exchange transactions will be favorable Experience in Financial Accounting systems/software (SAP desirable) Strong interpersonal and communication skills required Conscientious; strong attention to detail and results orientation
