The Billing Coordinator is responsible for processing client invoices for a set of billing attorneys and clients. Requires attention to quality control, adherence to deadlines, timely reporting on status of billing assignments, and thorough analysis of special billing arrangements. QUALIFICATIONS: MUST have 2+ years law firm billing experience. Candidates without law firm experience will not be considered. Elite experience strongly preferred. Ability to understand and analyze billing information and historical data. 10-key skills - fast and accurate typing skills required. Intermediate Excel skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. JOB DUTIES: Review prebills and client master files for special deals and obtain necessary documentation and approval. Obtain appropriate approvals for adjustments. Interact with billing co-workers and master files team regarding changes in tier levels. Review final bills to insure data integrity and insure bills are mailed, emailed (by pdf), ebilled. Maintain ebilling records to document that electronic bills have been successfully received by client. Coordinate final bills for transactional closings. Provide information on expected and deferred billings to support control and maintenance of firmâ€™s billing inventory. Provide research assistance and promptly respond to requests for information.
