  Job description: The Lead Systems Engineer-Retail and Supply Chain Engineering provides highest level troubleshooting on unique problems unanswered at lower levels. Serves as highest level technical resource for an enterprise-wide application. Recommends systems integration required to support business applications needs.  Performs lead role in reviewing vendor proposals and making recommendations. Leads implementation and deployment efforts on large projects.  Directs others in projects or assignments. Demonstrates expert understanding of servers and utilities by designing methods to ensure high performance. Demonstrates expert knowledge of disaster recovery procedures. Articulates expected benefits and potential limitations of product solution to users. Assesses implementation options and recommends most appropriate process to the client. Ensures adherence of team to testing and installation procedures and resolves deviations with appropriate resources, on schedule and according to implementation plan. Qualifications: Â·  Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent training and experience·  Graduate degree preferred ·  Approximately 8-12 years experience in related field Other Information: WISE Packager Experience (3-5 years) Scripting: VBScript (3 yrs+) Batch (3-5 yrs) POS devices (registers, scan guns, print solutions, etc.) - 5+ years required Web: HTA, IIS, Apache Database: MS SQL, MySQL Imaging Experience (Ghost): 3-5 yrs Operating Systems: Windows XP (3yrs+) Windows 2000 Professional (5yrs) Windows 2000 Server (5yrs) SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 or 10 (2+ years) Novell Linux Desktop 9 (2+ years) IBM Tivoli Management Framework – Provisioning & Monitoring (2+ years) Project Management Skills - This position is not for a Project Manager, but it is important the Lead Systems Engineer understand Project Management concepts and execute per project schedules.
