JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for oversight of centralized registration and charge entry support for Urgent Care at all Concentra locations. Coordinates closely with CBO urgent care staff and reports to urgent care operations. This position provides on-site daily support to Urgent Care Charge Entry Specialist staff in addition to performing like job functions.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ' Provides daily support of urgent care charge staff including but not limited to: -tracking attendance and PTO -providing technical expertise related to registration and charge entry functions -problem solve with centers related to compliance with urgent care policies and procedures -monitoring productivity and work load, ensuring time lines are met -point person for coordination with CBO as needed -coordinate with IT as needed related to hardware and/or software challenges -Work with charge entry staff, centers, CBO and urgent care leadership to continuously improve processes'Facilitates reporting as may be required by CBO or urgent care operations.'Verifies that visit information either faxed through Rightfax or scanned through Practice Velocity is complete in accordance with established visit documentation guidelines.'Coordinates with Concentra centers to obtain complete visit information as needed.'Completes all patient registration functions for 'limited' urgent care centers utilizing visit information faxed via Rightfax in accordance with established policies and procedures.'Verifies key pieces of patient registration information for 'basic' and 'comprehensive' centers utilizing visit information scanned though Practice Velocity. 'Enters diagnosis codes for all urgent care visits based on either the diagnosis code(s) indicated on the visit documentation or a clear description of the diagnosis if documented.'Enters charges for all urgent care visits, reviewing the visit documentation and the charge ticket to ensure all charges are captured. 'Enters all required modifiers based on CPT and CMS coding guidelines and Concentra standards as a function of charge entry. 'Provides routine feedback to Concentra centers regarding the quality of the visit documentation submitted using established processes and forms. 'Coordinates as needed with the CBO regarding daily/weekly/monthly center cash log processes.'Coordinates with CBO billing function on month end close activities ensuring that centers are ready to 'close' by month end close date.'Assists the CBO as needed with retrieval of visit information for A/R management activities. EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:'High School Diploma, AA a plusJOB RELEVENT EXPERIENCE:'Five years progressive healthcare billing/coding experience, preferably in an urgent care or group health outpatient physician's office setting, with two years demonstrated experience managing others. 'Medical terminology and familiarity major group health payers.
