Junior Product Analyst - RW&CO
Reporting to the Manager Planning and Allocation, the product analyst maximizes sales, profit and stock turn through analysis of product and forecasting of unit sales and inventory.
Tasks are as follows:
Prepares and maintains flowcharts for key commodities
Quantifies purchases and number of styles through assortment plans for the following season by group of commodities
Recommends markdown and promotional activities for all commodities
Compares units forecast to dollar budgets and makes recommendations for adjustments
Analyzes sales trend by color / size and recommend for future purchase
Analyzes commodity by stores and / or regions to identify opportunities for micro-marketing
Performs seasonal post-mortem
Analyzes stores and allocates merchandise based on performance
Adjusts and corrects discrepancies by store and/or region with proper allocation of incoming merchandise to balance the inventory
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or other related fields
Two (2) years experience in a planning and distribution/allocation role preferably in the retail fashion industry
Strong analytical and communication skills
Strong problem solving and decision making skills
Strong interpersonal skills and team work oriented
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (advanced Excel, Outlook)
Knowledge of other Retail Management system is an asset
Bilingualism is required; French and English/written and spoken
