Job Cost Accountant / Internal Auditor - Industrial Construction

CCC Group is currently accepting resumes for a Job Cost Accountant / Internal Auditor position based in our San
Antonio corporate office. This position will require frequent travel to various project and regional office locations across
the country.Job Responsibilities
Job Accounting/Administration:
Assist Operations personnel with project budgets; prepare and allocate costs within project budgets and monitor the development of actual against budgets/forecasts, review job/phase/cost code setup before it is entered into accounting system and update amounts in system to reflect additional work as it is added to project.Assist or prepare cost-plus billings on projects as required. Review contract terms as they relate to billing preparation.Monitor cost data by project to ensure that all items have been properly coded; make corrections as needed. Review data with field personnel as needed.Monitor progress of work vs. budget per cost code.  Research and correct irregularities if needed.Assist with preparation of monthly Project Control reports to be distributed to field personnel for their input.Train field personnel in Job Accounting areas. Responsible for the setup of project sites in compliance with company policies and procedures. Coordinate project personnel and assist in their training on the various administration activities. Review contracts and implement procedures to fulfill Client's requirements. Assess jobsites on their continuing compliance with the company’s project control system. Assist in review, training and compliance of company’s project control system at the corporate level, including maintenance of Project Controls Policy and Procedure Manual as needed. Perform additional assignments per Manager’s direction.

Internal Audit:Document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.Monitor compliance of various projects to company policies and procedures.Audit cost-plus billings that are prepared by other personnel to verify all cost were billed properly.Train appropriate staff on accounting policies and procedures. Ability to conduct independent research to keep current with accounting changes and updates.Qualifications, Experience & Education: Interested candidates should have solid experience in job order costing, G/L, A/R, A/P, collections, and inventory in a construction or manufacturing environment.Exceptional analytical, problem solving skills as well as written and verbal communication skills are required.Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and effectively teach and train staff on proper procedures are required for success in this role.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential. Minimum of 3 years public or construction accounting or internal audit experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting is essential. Must be willing to travel at least 40% of the time, domestically and internationally, and be able to spend multiple weeks at project locations on occasion.Willingness and ability to work regular weekly overtime is required. Relocation to San Antonio, TX required.Post offer drug screen and background check are required. EOE.
