Inventory Control Responsibilities:

  Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of inventory procedures, transactions, and controls.  Review and authorize inventory adjustments. Aide in the resolution of inventory issues via analytical tools including variance reporting, verification of stock levels, product receipts and bill and material allocations. Work with plant and corporate personnel to review and investigate various variances and understand the effects of those variances through the entire inventory / production cycle, and communicate to management issues and opportunities. Responsible for quarterly physical inventory and periodic cycle counts. Manage the production side of Syspro (Manufacturing driven ERP system) which includes establishing stock codes, setting up bills of materials and reporting daily production.

 

Cost Accounting Responsibilities:

  Input and update the standard costs contained in the item master so that the ERP system will accurately reflect real time inventory values. Review accounting entries related to inventory, including adjustments, variances, receivers, shipments, material issues and receipts, and inventory reserves to ensure that these entries properly reflect the true value of inventory on the balance sheet. Develop and maintain product bills of materials and product costing. Provide cost estimates for new products by coordinating efforts with purchasing department. Responsible for month-end close of inventory and work-in-process ERP modules.
