Adams Harris, Inc is a professional services firm focused on the highly visible areas of accounting/finance, internal audit, SOX, technology risk mitigation and corporate tax. This is a well funded/capitalized firm whose founders have previously built one of the premier firms in the industry. Our plans are to open offices in 25 cities over a 5 year period and employ over 1,500 people. Services will include hourly support, outsourcing, special projects and consulting. Position Locations: Houston, TX, Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL

 

Reports to:  Managing Director

 

Core Competencies / Personality Profile

· Proven leadership, strong initiative, high energy, excellent organization skills, and the ability to work in a team environment

· Big 4 experience a plus

· Minimum 7+ years of experience

· Credentials such as CPA, MBA, CIA, CISA, CISSP

 

Basic Functions

· Execute internal audits and risk assessments focusing on business controls, processes, and systems

· Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act Section 404

· Identifying control and operational deficiencies and providing sound remediation solutions

· Develop effective internal audit plans and communicate clearly with management

· Provide consistent, high-quality consulting and project management solutions to clients

· Present oral and written presentations to senior management during and at the conclusion of each internal audit

· Plan and execute the day-to-day activities of Technology engagements for a variety of clients including general computing controls, system development, package implementation and/or platform reviews

· Provide IT audit reviews of various types of applications and system platforms including ERP systems, operating systems and the review of general IT system controls such as change management controls and SAS 70 reviews

 

 

Education Requirements

4 year degree, CPA and/or MBA preferred

 

Professional Experience

Ideal candidates for the Internal Audit and IT Audit role should have overall work experience of 7 – 10 years gained through a combination of public accounting and/or industry accounting or auditing roles, and possess certifications such as CPA, CIA, MBA, CISA, and CISSP.
