Internal Audit Manager (Direct Hire) 714/662-1988Description: Volt in Costa Mesa has partnered with our corporate office to identify an Internal Audit Manager. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity to work at our beautiful corporate park in Orange! The chosen candidate will assist the Assistant Director in defining and executing an audit plan based on an assessment of business risk to satisfy Sarbanes Oxley documentation requirements. Will supervise staff in the performance of financial and operational audits and other reviews, projects and tasks. Oversee audit planning and review conduct of audits to ensure appropriate scope, level of testing, risk identification, findings and recommendations are met. Will plan, direct and perform financial and operational audits, reviews, projects or tasks where the assignment is considered more significant, difficult or sensitive. Manage the Orange IA office personnel, including: Recruiting, training, supervising, evaluating and developing staff. Perform audit assistance procedures in accordance with external audit firm specifications. Act as liaison between external auditors and management personnel. Maintain good working relationships and communication flow between the department and other company management or external auditors as appropriate. Requirements: The candidate we seek will have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance. An MBA degree will be a plus. A minimum 8 years audit experience in public accounting or combination of public and internal audit experience required. Previous staff supervisory experience required. Professional certification (i.e. CPA, CIA, CMA.) also required. Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and generally accepted auditing standards. Knowledge and experience with Sarbanes Oxley requirements. Strong analytical skills including working knowledge of statistical testing and data analysis tools (e.g. ACL.) Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. PC proficiency (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access). Able to travel (domestic and overseas) as necessary to accomplish department responsibilities.
