Hedge Fund Trading Assistant/Operations Administrator

A successful and growing investment management firm located in south Orange County has an excellent opportunity for an entry level trading assistant and operations/accounting associate. This position requires an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual who is eager to work as part of a team.  Position requires daily interaction with portfolio managers and exposure to all types of fixed income trading.  Excellent opportunity for someone interested in joining a hedge fund and learning about fixed income and derivatives.

 

 

 

Confirm and allocate trades between five funds.

Review daily bank activity and resolve transaction exceptions and trade fails between bank and broker.

Review and account for all portfolio transactions - securities purchases and sales, pay downs, income, and expenses

Complete cash reconciliation for securities transactions, portfolio contributions and withdrawals, income and expenses

Update accounting system with mortgage factors and rates

Liaise with cross-functions areas such as operations, risk and technology to identify research and analyze discrepancies between the internal and external records.

Ad hoc reporting for clients and portfolio managers
