We are currently seeking Audit Senior Associates to join our Healthcare group in our New York City or Long Island office. KPMG's Audit practice uses a methodology that transforms the audit process from a traditional compliance-driven function to a risk-based approach by creating a framework for auditors to assess how a client's business risks affect financial statements. This approach offers a more comprehensive view of how a client's unique risk environment affects its financial reporting. Responsibilities: * Plan and execute the day-to-day activities of audit engagements of various healthcare clients * Participate in the review of client filings * Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to Managers and Partners * Identify performance improvement opportunities * Interact with clients to help ensure that the information flow from the client to the audit team is efficient * Supervise the audit staff assigned to engagements, including completing their performance reviews * Work with the audit team to develop hourly budgets and fee analysis Qualifications: * Two years of recent independent auditing experience in public accounting in the Healthcare industry * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university * Applied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures * Demonstrated supervisory experience * Able to meet challenging client requirements, provide services, and possess strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research abilities KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
