Group Control Manager
Description:Group Control Managers are expected to provide expertise on processes and related internal controls over financial reporting, while working towards efficient, effective, and consistent controls across the BP Group. The Group Control Manager role provides an excellent opportunity to learn about a wide variety of BP businesses together with the processes and work with a broad spectrum of people within the organization.
Qualifications:The level of appointment will depend on the degree of experience, skills and knowledge offered. This experience should include:1. Strong understanding of internal controls, business process analysis and risk assessment.2. Knowledge of control frameworks, control objectives and control activities.3. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly gain the trust and respect of others.4. Critical thinking, and the ability to extract and synthesize information.5. Ability to constructively challenge and influence others.6. Communication, both written and verbal, and the ability to adapt to the respective audience.7. Project management, and the ability to handle multiple assignments while ensuring on time delivery.8. A minimum of 6+ years of relevant work experience.9. Strong preference for external audit experience.10. Some experience with process mapping.11. Ability to successfully lead and manage others.12. A national or internationally recognized professional accountancy qualification is strongly preferred, e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA. Alternatively, a minimum of 6 years business experience, with an emphasis on financial audit and financial control and accounting would be sufficient.
