Perm/Full-Time EmploymentThe position reports to the Controller and will provide accounting oversight for the General Accounting Functions, including: General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Payroll and Procurement.  This entails ensuring integrity of company trial balance by providing technical expertise, business sense, leadership, and improvement of processes and controls. Provide leadership relative to departmental alignment with company goals including recruiting and staffing for department, managing departmental workload, managing individual performance improvement through training, development and coaching to produce quality financial deliverables.
Inter-company accounting and reporting for client's subsidiaries The General Accounting Manager will maintain client Revenue Recognition Policy.  The position will have responsibilities for SOX compliance, SAP AR security roles, department processes and procedures’ updates and Internal and External accounting audits relative to all General Ledger postings.  Job Description: Key Responsibilities:Preparing timely and accurate monthly financial statements and reports Execution of monthly close process; journal entries and timely account reconciliations Variance analysis and reporting Strict adherence to Sarbanes Oxley 404 processes and controls surrounding the General Ledger.  Sox Compliance; – Self test and assess the department’s controls and key controls in the self-assessment tool. Process and Procedures; - Ongoing update to procedures to ensure current practices are accurately reflected in written processes and procedures Special projectsPosition Requirements:Effective partnering with our internal customers. Excellent communication skills and collaborative nature. Good managerial skills, be results oriented with hands on attitude.  Excellent desktop skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. A high comfort level with working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and frequent tight deadlines.Experience / CompetenciesBachelor’s degree required; major in accounting or finance. CPA  Familiarity with Staff Accounting Bulleting 104 (SAB 104) “Revenue Recognition in Financial Statementsâ€� and other revenue related pronouncements. 6+ years of progressive accounting experience Excellent analytical, organizational skills and acute attention to detail. In-depth  understanding of operational accounting systems (end-to-end) and related technology systems MAS200 experience a plus Self-starter who operates with a high degree of autonomy and professionalism Excellent written and verbal communication skills
