Full Charge Bookkeeper w/Accounting Degree ($45 to $55K)

 

Degreed Full Charge Bookkeeper – Salary to $45-55K

 

Engineering services firm is seeking an outgoing, motivated, high-energy individual with excellent general knowledge of accounting principles and analytical skills to be the Bookkeeper for their headquarters location. 

 

THE POSITION:

 

· A/R, A/P, Payroll, Financial Statement preparation, bank reconciliation, budgeting and variance analysis

· Managing and completion of month end close process.

· Report directly to the company principals and help with all financial aspects of running the business.

· Participate in strategic planning pertaining to financial goals of the company

· Manage staff of accounting clerks.

· Review and preparation of journal entries, trial balance, financial reports.

· Special projects as needed.

 

 THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

 

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

· 2-6+ years Bookkeeping and Accounting/ Financial Management experience

· Advanced Excel Skills

· Knowledge of general ledger accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable and account reconciliations, journal entries, month end close process, financial systems, staff supervision.

· Candidate must posses an efficient work style.  Additionally, the ideal candidate is ethical,  process oriented, accurate, hard working, able to work both independently and within a team, performance-oriented and able to meet the demands of a diverse business environment in a  timely, accurate, and efficient manner.

· Candidate must possess strong computer skills and advanced knowledge of computerized accounting systems.

· Experience in WIN2FMS or Deltek Vision software a plus but not required

· Experience with ADP Payroll a plus but not required

· Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

· Excellent analytical and organization skills are essential.
