Forensic Accounting Staff Consultant
Gleason & Associates, P.C. is currently seeking a highly motivated individual for a position as a Staff Consultant in our litigation support, forensic accounting, and valuation practice. Your responsibility will be to provide a broad range of financial consulting including business valuations for litigation and non-litigation purposes; quantification of economic damages, forensic accounting, financial support in litigation matters, and financial reorganizations. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
§ Preparing financial models,
§ Conducting comparative and pro forma analyses,
§ Reconstructing financial statements and/or records using forensic accounting techniques,
§ Developing lost profit analyses
§ Analyzing and critiquing opposing party claims,
§ Interacting closely with counsel and company representatives to gather and analyze information,
§ Reviewing documents and depositions to identify information related to key damage issues,
§ Research of accounting, finance and economic issues,
§ Creating documentation to support analyses and research
§ Assisting in the preparation of expert witnesses to testify at trial or other dispute resolution forum.
Requirements
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics or finance and a minimum of 1-2 years experience in public accounting or consulting. The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, flexible, and able to work with minimal supervision. Excellent oral and written communication skills are expected.
