Financial Planning & Analysis

Position Description:FP&A ActivitiesManage the monthly forecasting process for the Business Unit. Participate actively in the annual budgeting and Strategic Planning activities. Understand key variables, market trends, and business assumptions and create sensitivity analysis to demonstrate the impact of changing key variables. Also, create meaningful ad hoc financial analysis as well as monthly financial statement analysis. The analyst is also expected to develop an in depth understanding of all aspects of their business units, become part of the business units decision making process, develop a timely, relevant and accurate strategic plan for each business unit that is challenging and achievable based on market conditions, competition, specific business initiatives and consistent with senior management and corporate expectations.Financial Analysis of Actual Results Compare results to current and Prior Forecast, Budget, and Prior Year to provide thorough variance explanations. Conduct monthly financial review meetings with senior management. Furthermore, provide financial guidance and business decision support to the General Manager and senior management team. This position is considered to be a business partner to his/her business unit's management and is responsible for providing comprehensive financial analysis and support. Work with Professional Services Group and Accounting during the month-end close to validate results to Forecast. Work with the Business Unit to understand risks & opportunities in the Forecast, actions to be taken to mitigate risk or take advantage of the opportunities. Other Activities Work with the Business unit to understand current and forecasted Sales Bookings, revenue recognition, utilization, Proforma vs. GAAP P&Ls, expense management, etc. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required. Strong Analytical Skills. MBA or atleast in the process. Effective communication (executive presence) and writing skills Detail oriented while able to understand and communicate the big picture Ability to prioritize multiple projects Spreadsheets - high level of proficiency (Excel) in developing financial analysis from scratch, manage existing spreadsheets and improve them if necessary Position requires a minimum of 5+ year's senior financial analysis experience.
