Position Summary
The Princeton University Art Museum is seeking a financial assistant to provide support to the museum's central business office which oversees over $1o Million in business activity. Under the supervision of the Business Manager, this newly created part-time position's primary responsibilities will include: purchasing via Princeton PeopleSoft, E-commerce web sites and credit card transactions; assisting with the processing of accounts payable vouchers and business expense reports; preparing interdepartmental invoice forms; assisting with the recruitment of new staff; reconciling museum revenues and vendor payments; assisting with financial reporting and budget preparation; auditing PUAM transactions for compliance with policies and procedures; monitoring budgets for variances; assisting with petty cash distribution; acting as backup to the Museum's Time Collection payroll representative; assisting with HR paperwork; assisting with grant applications and special projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with museum staff and interact with multiple administrative and academic offices within the University including Human Resources, Dean of Faculty, Facilities, Grants Administration, and departments in the Treasurer's Office.

This is a part-time 80% position.
Essential Qualifications
This position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 2-5 years work experience. Candidate must have strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel. He/she must have excellent interpersonal skills, writing and communications skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
The final candidate will be required to successfully pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Princeton University's on-line systems, and experience with cash handling is preferred. MBA is also preferred.
