Financial Analyst - Heavy Modeling - 5 Yrs Exp

Great company in North Dallas needing a true analyst with heavy modeling experience.

Unique opportunity for the right individual to work for a dynamic and fast-growing company in the default servicing industry.  The selected individual will fill the newly created role of Financial Analyst, reporting to the Controller, and be responsible for the ongoing financial and operational decision support analysis and management reporting for the Company.

 

Job Description:Preparation and analysis of results, forecasts, budgets, operating statistics, and financial analysis.Develop and maintain business segment, product line, and customer profitability analysis and reporting.Preparation and monthly management reporting requirements.Preparation of Board of Director meeting analysis and presentation materials.Provides financial expertise for business decisions by analyzing pricing, costing, cash flow, investment opportunities, and due diligence.Determines methods and tools utilized to prepare financial analysis, forecasts, budgets, and operating statistics.Responsible for developing, interpreting, and implementing financial concepts for planning and control.Uses professional concepts to solve a wide-range of complex problems in a creative and practical manner.Requires minimal supervision.

 

Essential Functions:

1. Ability to develop financial plans and solve business problems utilizing financial and statistical analysis.

2. Ability to perform financial and statistical analysis to support costing & pricing, performance trends, budgets & forecasts, capital appropriations, and acquisitions & business combinations.

3. Ability to develop advanced financial models within MS Excel and industry standard report-writing tools (e.g., Crystal, SQL).

4. Ability to display and articulate analysis and recommendations in a manner that effectively informs the intended audience.

5. Ability to interact with senior business leaders.

 

Prerequisites:Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.Minimum of five years of relevant work experience in a financial analysis and management reporting capacity.Work experience in the mortgage/auto servicing or default industry a plus.Strong MS Excel modeling skills.Strong communication, analytical, and presentation preparation skills.Strong knowledge of financial statements, GAAP, and financial ratios and measures.
