Due to expanded growth and additional clients they are looking to add positions in their finance and accounting departments.If you have experience as a Cost Accountant that can report to the Controller regarding project cost accounting, and related finance and accounting. Primary function in this role will include but not be limited to the following... Review direct labor, material and overhead costs for all jobs manufactured in the shops, including the cost of quality Identify ways to improve financial performance and reporting process Overseeing inventory control management, inventory physical counts, valuations, receipts and issues, as well as reserves for obsolete inventory Development of standard costing system, including the development of standards, systems and procedures, while applying principals to conduct studies and provide detailed cost informationIn order to qualify for this position you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, professional accounting designation (preferably for CMA/CGA). Manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
