A San Jose fabless semiconductor company is looking for a Finance Manager to build their finance group.

Financial Analysis Manager - FP&A

The Financial Planning & Analysis group plays an integral role in developing the company's overall business operating plan.  The group also participates directly in the Product Lifecycle Management process by completing all new product financial analyses.  Maintaining seamless operation and accurate data behind the company's Executive Dashboard is another responsibility of the group. The Financial Analysis Manager is a key role in this group and job responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with cross-functional groups, including Marketing, Operations and Product Development, to develop accurate and reasonable inputs for a COGNOS Analyst Business Plan model

Overseeing preparation of meaningful analysis and succinct communication of the output of the Business Plan model

Directing updates of individual product COGNOS Analyst financial forecast models through specific stages to ensure appropriate decisions are made to proceed or discontinue development

Becoming an integral participant in the Sales and Marketing forecast process by preparing analysis of changes from the prior forecast, changes in product mix and changes to wafer volume requirements

Managing the development and maintenance of an Executive Dashboard and preparing relevant analysis of results relative to key performance indicators.

Supervising global operating expense and capital budget processes, and instructing the development of meaningful and relevant management reports

Directing global budget update cycles and periodic budget variance reporting

Candidate Requirements

Track record of innovation and business modeling with minimum of eight years managerial accounting or financial analysis

Experience with COGNOS Analyst and the COGNOS suite of applications

Bachelor or Masters Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred

High proficiency with Microsoft Excel is needed.  Proficiency with Microsoft Access or other similar desktop applications is a plus

Drive and motivation to succeed in an entrepreneurial atmosphere

Experience with a fabless, high volume, semiconductor manufacturing model is preferred

Ability to adapt and improve in an environment of rapid growth and change

Confidence to interact with cross-functional organizations and all levels of staff and management

Adept with management presentations
