Finance Auditor

Finance Auditor Experian’s vision is for people, data and technology to become a necessary part of every major consumer economy around the world.  We are currently looking for outstanding people to help us realize our vision. As a Finance Auditor at our US headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA you will review internal and external business operations to ensure compliance with laws and contractual agreements, and validate that policies and procedures are enforced and appropriate controls are in place. Responsibilities:  Develop audit programs, including audit objectives, project steps and scope-of-audit proposal using appropriate procedures. Research and define audit issues through personnel interviews, document reviews, and prior audit findings. Conduct audits of Experian business units, affiliate operations and agent processes to evaluate compliance with laws, contractual agreements, and established business policies. Evaluate internal and external current and developing systems for adequacy of control and compliance. Review data processing facilities to ascertain organizational and operational effectiveness. Prepare audit reports and recommendations to management that identify irregularities, deviation from established policies and procedures, and potential opportunities for improvement. Provide training and mentoring to lesser-experienced staff members. Travel 40-60%. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent experience 4+ years related audit experience Audit certification preferred Strong knowledge of laws, regulations and business practices for industries in which Experian operates Advanced knowledge of Accounting principles and general practices Advanced knowledge of audit methodology and techniques Good Understanding of Information Technology including PC, Network, Mainframe and E-commerce systems - Preferred Previous Consulting or BIG 4 experience a plus Strong knowledge of PC desktop applications Advanced project management and organizational skills Advanced problem solving and analytical skills Advanced oral and written communications skills  Ability to travel 40-60%Experian offers flexible benefits and compensation packages that allow our employees to make choices that fit their individual lifestyles.
