Finance/Administrative Manager

 

Company Background:

F&A Dairy of California, a privately held manufacturing company located in Newman, has an immediate opening for a Finance/Administrative Manager.

 

Position Title: Finance/Administrative Manager

Reports To:  Corporate Controller with dotted line to Plant Manager

 

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Finance/Administrative Manager is responsible for managing the day to day and month end accounting and administrative functions at the manufacturing facility.  In addition, the Finance/Administrative Manager will support the Plant Manager and staff in analyzing costs and fulfilling basic HR responsibilities.  The Finance/Administrative Manager supervises the Milk Payables Bookkeeper and Receptionist.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

· Processes weekly payroll for the Union employees in ADP.

· Manages the processing of dairy producers payroll.

· Performs HR functions for plant employees.

· Analyzes manufacturing costs. 

· Prepares account reconciliations, including bank accounts. 

· Assists with periodic physical inventory at plant warehouse.

· Identifies and implements process improvements where needed.

· Participates in development of annual operating plan and monthly forecasts.

· Direct supervision of Milk Payables Bookkeeper and Receptionist. 

· Complete operational costing reports and analyze variances

 

Qualifications:

 

The successful candidate will have 5-7 years in accounting and some supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing or dairy environment.  An Associates degree in Accounting or related field is highly desirable.  Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, are required.
