FINANCIAL ANALYST (INVENTORY)We are a multi billion dollar manufacturing facility currenty in need of a couple Financial Analysts with an emphanis on inventory and inventory control. We are non-automotive and have had ten plus years of exponential growth. Our company has a global presence and is in outstanding financianl status. These positions are open due to an internal promotion.The Ideal Candiate must haveThis position will report directly to the Controller. Responsibilities include: • Partnering with manufacturing and planning for inventory management, value absorption and metal cost forecasting • Forecasting and analyzing rework costs, performing variance analysis against forecast and budget for inventory, including material costs, plant expense and manufacturing absorption • Performing quarterly absorption testing to ensure costs are properly absorbed into inventory • Leading annual inventory standards update • Finance lead for inventory control activities; WIP Audits, Cycle Counts • Analyzing standard variances to identify opportunity costs • Directing annual physical inventory for 26M pounds spread over 10 locations. Ensure proper controls are followed for accurate counts. Analyze inventory variances to root cause, partnering with organization implementing process improvements • Ensuring appropriate internal controls are in place and corporate policy is followed. Lead inventory Sarbanes Oxley compliance, demonstrating location controls to internal and external auditors • Providing guidance to floor personnel, manufacturing supervision and upper management as it relates to all aspects of inventory integrity • Analyzing metal market’s impact on inventory value • Reporting monthly inventory value and variance analysis against budget & forecast • Analyzing WIP job variances to understand drivers.
