FINANCE AND TAX MANAGER

Summary: This position will report directly to the Financial Reporting Manager. In this role, the primary focus of the Special Projects Manager will be the research of GAAP and regulatory rules; work on projects initiated by the Chief Accounting Officer; prepare and calculate tax-related matters; provide support with the SEC filings; calculate quarterly estimated tax payment and perform provision checks at quarter end; respond to federal and state tax correspondence; perform qualification tests on REIT's Asset/P&L and assist with the quarterly bank press release process. Responsible for the financial disclosures on the 10-Q and 10-K reports filed with the SEC.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business is required. CPA is required. 5-6 years of progressive experience to include, but not limited to, experience in SEC reporting and 10-Q & 10-K disclosure requirements. Extensive experience in federal and state tax laws is required. Proficiency with Hyperion, SRC, MS Office (including Access) is a must. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
