FAMILY OFFICE MANAGER
This position entails managing financial, property and other personal matters for the company’s CEO and his family and providing support to the operating company as needed. This is an international family with multiple international office locations and personal properties. The family members regularly travel for business and between these locations. The office for this position is located in Carpinteria, California (near Santa Barbara).Functions include, but are not limited to: Tax services – assist professional team with coordination of income tax planning, preparation and compliance Estate planning – assist professional team with coordination of estate plan review, wealth transfer arrangements, estate tax compliance, long-term healthcare analysis Accounting – bookkeeping, bill paying, cash flow analysis, budgeting, fund transferals, employee payroll management, net worth statement preparation, financial statement preparation, records maintenance and administration Property management – including remote management of staff at each property location Insurance services – consulting and administration for all types of medical, homeowner, property and liability insurance Legal affairs management – assist professional team with coordination of legal affairs Document management and retention – wills, trusts, estate plans, advisor agreements, deeds, contracts, tax returns, passports, birth certificates, marriage certificates, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and other paperwork Luxury items assistance – purchases and sales, insurance appraisals and management, storage arrangements, maintenance, inventory updates and record keeping Philanthropic planning and administration – gift administration, charitable trust advice, family foundation administration, development and management of charitable giving program RequirementsWe are looking for an individual with energy and talent who works smart and wants, above all else, to produce excellent results. Candidates must have an outgoing personality, acute attention to detail, and the ability and initiative to work effectively. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary. The successful candidate must be able to take command of multiple projects, work independently and maintain confidentiality. CPA certification and significant tax experience is a plus.Minimum Qualifications Experience in family office environment (at least 5 years) Undergraduate degree in accounting, business administration or related fieldExcellent benefits.
