More information about Thomson Reuters and its financial performance can be found on www.ThomsonReuters.com. The Tax and Accounting business of Thomson Reuters is a leading provider of critical information, decision support tools and software applications for tax and accounting professionals in North America. Major brands include Checkpoint, Creative Solutions and RIA. Position: Payroll Tax Editor   The Payroll Products Group is responsible for keeping six different payroll publications up-to-date. In addition, the group publishes a bi-weekly newsletter that requires submission of stories to the Production Department on a daily basis.    Job Description: Writes or revises publishable editorial analysis and/or explanations of tax (and related) law that reflects a very high degree of knowledge, insight and practical experience in accordance with RIA editorial standards and schedules. Maintains a high level of expertise in assigned specialized areas of the tax (or related) law and writes clearly and effectively about tax and related topics. Monitors RIA's competitors and government websites. Maintains proficiency in RIA editorial processes, software programs and applications. Checkpoint training is required and proficiency is mandated for large-release testing. Keeps abreast of the research needs and practices of relevant RIA Markets and answers subscriber inquiries. Stays current with tax law so that charts and annual booklets include the latest information. MUST have a minimum of 2 years payroll tax experience. Good writing skills a huge plus.   Knowledge of fringe benefit taxation, wage and hour, international, garnishment, or withholding tax law is a plus.  Any certification such as CPA, CPP, or FPC is also a plus.  Thomson Reuters employees take pride in providing our customers around the world with information that is timely, accurate, unbiased and trusted.
