Military experience highly preferred or military spouse experience

Primary Purpose:Assesses military participant’s and their families presenting financial concerns and partners with participants in identifying and outlining options for resolution or next steps. Also provide commercial financial backup.

Major Responsibilities:Utilizes financial knowledge and techniques of assessment to identify the specific financial issue presented. Discusses general financial issues pertinent to presenting concerns and works with participants to establish a plan for problem resolution. Assists participants with issues related to customized Financial products/procedures. Practices and promotes excellent customer service for LifeWorks Financial Services.Documents case activity in CMS and other appropriate applications.Provides timely, accurate case documentation to summarize discussion and case activity. Accurately records user information on appointment calendars.Develops appropriate financial resources for users as needed.Utilizes the internal database, LIFEWORKS staff, military resources and other resources to identify organizations, agencies or providers of financial resources or services. Actively partipates in regular staff meetings, Financial trainings, and other team functions.Collaborates with team and other staff to deliver Financial trainings as needed. Functions as team player to address team and service delivery issues related to Financial Services.Provides consultations on Financial issues to Team members and other LIFEWORKS staff as needed.Responds to questions from LIFEWORKS consultants and other staff regarding various financial issues and concerns related to Financial service delivery.

Minimum Qualifications : Masters’ degree in counseling, social work, psychology, education or similar field or comparable work or life experience required.Expectation that AFC certification will be completed if it or similar certification is not currently held. Must possess and demonstrate broadly-based Financial knowledge and experience as well as average math skills.CEAP and/or Licensure preferred.Must be able to assist user in a solution-focused assessment process and motivate the user to pursue an agree-upon plan of action.Must possess excellent proficiency in computer and internet skills.Ability to lead discussions and conduct training.Desire to contribute to the Financial Team and to product development.Effective conflict resolution skills.Ability to effectively manage time and work responsibilities.Ability to forge positive work relationships.Interest in personal and professional development.Ability and interest to learn new areas of product portfolio and add-on products. Excellent communication skills - oral and written. Team player. Excellent customer service, business and technical skills.Demonstrated superior case management skills.Ability to lead a team in a solution-focused exercise.Demonstrates ability to identify processes that need improvement.Participation in Six Sigma projects as appropriate to job.Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, high change environment. Preferred Qualifications: Military experience highly preferred or military spouse.AFC Certification. CEAP and/or Licensure Certification. Additional EAP-related certifications preferred (SA, CISD, Human Resources, etc.)Exceeds 3-5 year minimum EAP requirementDemonstrates an understanding of the relationship between quality servies and return on investment measurement outcomes for Ceridian Client Companies.Able to articulate the company’s values, mission and goals in a leadership role.Knowledge and experience in core service areas of child development, parenting, adoption, education, services for older adults, addiction disorders, emotional well being, work issues, and critical incident stress debriefing. Diverse experience in counseling, social work or mental health services. EAP and substance abuse experience preferred.
