You must be able to work well independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment. This position works closely with senior management throughout the organization. Essential Functions Essential duties and responsibilities include leading the general accounting group, which is responsible for the month-end close process, and maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, including sub ledger to ledger reconciliations and account reconciliations. The general accounting group supports the business and operational units by performing such tasks as recording journal entries, preparing financial statements, ensuring transactions are recorded according to U.S. GAAP, working through ERP application and reporting issues, analytical review and general reporting. •Proven track record of managing personnel, managing general accounting, preparing month-end closes •Manage the day-to-day operation of the general accounting department to ensure all transactions are accounted for in accordance with U.S. GAAP •Provide Finance Department with timely and accurate financial statements •Interact with executive management regarding corporate financial matters •Work with the appointed auditors and tax professionals to provide reporting and information as required •Previous industry experience in Videogames, Mobile and/or Entertainment.Qualifications •5+ years of combined public and private accounting experience, preferably from a Big 4 •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with CPA designation or Masters in Accountancy required •Oracle Close and General Ledger Experience required •Experience in Oracle eBusiness Suite v 11i application preferred, but not required •Knowledge of New Media preferred, but not required •Strong written and verbal communication skills •Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people •Strong proficiency in Word, Outlook and advanced Excel skills•Local candidates onlyUltimately, your success will be measured based on our overall financial performance compared to budget, along with your ability to achieve a number of milestones, which we'll determine together, once you are on board.
