Parker and Lynch is closely partnered with a dynamic growth oriented Public Company in search of a new Director of Internal Audit.  This Coral Gables, FL based position and will have regular interaction with the senior management team, Audit Committee and External auditors.  The scope of this position will include International travel with specific focus on Central and South American subsidiaries. As such, fluent Spanish will be a requirement.  Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance Financial Reporting, Operational and Internal Control Audits Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Company Financial Risk Assessments and Fraud Investigations Develops and executes the annual internal audit program including compliance and financial audits aimed to improve the control environment to drive efficiency and effectiveness, in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards. Collaborates with Finance/Accounting; ensures best practices and ongoing compliance with the accounting and disclosure control requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act Leads reviews of internal controls and financial reporting under Sarbanes-Oxley, specifically Section 404’s assessment and documentation requirements.  Provides technical financial and operational expertise and support to process owners to assess/analyze internal control environment, define gaps in key internal controls, recommend improvements/enhancements to ensure SOX compliance and develop action plans with business owners to remediate gaps. Leads internal audits to improve SEC and GAAP compliance as well as helps identify business efficiencies. Drives the successful completion of control initiatives by closely coordinating with senior management, internal and external auditors. Provides support to management in the remediation of identified control weaknesses and process improvement initiatives.Requirements: Bachelors in Accounting or related major. Masters/MBA recommended. CPA, CIA or similar professional certifications. 50% International Travel, Bilingual Spanish. Extensive experience in Department leadership role in Public/SEC Corp.
