Director of Financial Planning and Analysis
Job Description – US Director of Financial Planning and Analysis
As a key member of Company's global finance organization, the US Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will direct a team of finance professionals and provide financial analysis and business planning support for Company's US organization. Reporting directly to the Vice President Finance, and Corporate Controller and working closely with the US President, the successful candidate’s job functions will include:
· Supervising and leading a team of finance professionals with a focus on:
· In-depth financial analysis/business trends analysis
· Forecasting, budgeting and all other planning activities for US Operations
· Financial reporting and preparation of Management reporting packages
· Preparation and review of Business Cases and other financial modeling
· Providing financial support for potential new business initiatives and programs
· Working closely with the US President to identify and deliver on critical business objectives
· Various ad-hoc assignment in support of Finance department led initiatives
Qualifications
Requirements include completion of a post secondary degree in Business Administration with preference being given to those candidates with a professional accounting designation or a Master’s of Business Administration, plus 8-10 years of progressive and diversified experience in a financial environment.
· Strong experience in financial analysis and financial modeling
· Solid accounting background with an understanding of GAAP with an emphasis on revenue recognition accounting
· Excellent analytical skills
· Dynamic personality with the ability to manage several initiatives at once
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
· Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint and Word
· SAP experience is a definite asset
