Position Description: Manages all financial matters for a functional area either globally or regionally including budgeting, revenue/bookings forecasting, and financial reporting. Provide business decision support to the Server Product Group Vice President


• Responsible for the preparation and analysis of Annual Cost Budgets, Quarterly Forecast and Monthly Outlooks.
• Develop presentation format that is consistent with the Server line of Business.
• Expense Management – work with Product Group VP and management team to ensure that their monthly costs are within budget (developing expense strategies and driving them through their organizations, educating the leadership within their functional groups on importance of fiscal responsibility, etc), Provide analysis, commentary and guidance on the financial results
• Month End Close Process – ensure that the proper accruals are made for the Server Product functional groups and all entries are completed on a timely basis
• Management Reporting – produce monthly and quarterly financial management reports to include budget vs actual analysis, revenue and bookings results and trending analysis, key performance metrics (dashboard), etc. Review with leadership of the Product Groups on a monthly basis. Provide proactive financial leadership role in management reporting. Create action plans for helping drive toward hitting the targets for each metric
• Key liaison between Corporate Finance and the business units, drive process improvements and implement corporate guidelines
• Revenue and Bookings Forecasting and Analysis – responsible for producing weekly and/or monthly revenue and bookings forecasts for the group. Support functional management team in monthly and/or quarterly revenue and bookings operations reviews with Sr Leadership. Analyze the risks in the numbers and provide analysis to senior leadership for decision making.
• Global Processes and Procedures – Work with the Product Group Sales Operations team in coordinating the revenue/bookings forecasting process with the Sales organization, Regional Finance team and Product Management
• Ad Hoc Analysis – perform various analysis as requested by the functional group and VP, Finance (margin analysis, productivity measurements, subscriber growth, etc)
• Management – The Sr. Manager is responsible for managing financial analyst directly and/or matrix in support of their objectives and providing guidance and leadership to the Server Engineering FP&A group.

• 8+ Year of Financial Planning and Analysis experience
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business; MBA a plus
• Self-starter/demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage strategies and be decisive
• Implement and drive policies, initiatives and procedures
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Strong team player
• Strong leadership skills, ability to influence and manage
• Good working knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
• Strong knowledge of software revenue recognition rules and accounting/finance concepts
• Good knowledge of Hyperion Pillar, Oracle and Essbase
