Worth community.DIRECTOR CHARGE DESCRIPTION MASTER Job FunctionsDirects a coordinated system-wide Billing Compliance program to ensure BHCScompliance with Federal, state, private payer and other applicable legal andregulatory requirements for the entire revenue cycle serving as a focal point forall internal and external billing compliance activities. Develops and maintainssystem-wide billing policies and procedures. Periodically reviews policies andprocedures and updates or adds new policies and procedures as needed. Establishes and maintains effective lines of communication on billing-relatedissues with both internal and external entities. Sets strategy and providesguidance and advice throughout the system on all matters relating to billingcompliance. Serves as the definitive resource to respond to inquiries related tobilling compliance. Coordinates with BHCS Executive Revenue CycleCompliance Committee, the BHCS Office of Corporate Compliance, InformationManagements departments, and all BHCS Revenue Cycle departments asneeded. Plans education strategy to ensure individuals involved in the revenue cycleprocess receive all necessary education, training, and resource materials toenable them to fulfill their responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner. Oversees identification and/or development of revenue cycle compliancetraining curricula and determines training delivery methodologies to meetstrategic objectives. Provides oversight to the various Charge Description Masters used throughoutBHCS. Maintains a complete and up-to-date library of charge DescriptionMasters, including a mechanism to ensure charges are being handled in aconsistent manner by BHCS entities. Oversees a system-wide strategy to identify revenue cycle compliance riskareas. Coordinates as needed with Internal Audit to develop, oversee andcoordinate a system-wide auditing and monitoring program of billing risk areas. Develops annual work plans, conducts audits, offers solutions and providesguidance to other BHCS entities in conducting audits, and oversees follow-upactivities. Provides support to BHCS Revenue Cycle Compliance Committees. Coordinatesas appropriate with the BHCS Office of Corporate Compliance, Internal Audit,and others. Plan, direct and coordinate ongoing monitoring and implementation ofreengineering solutions across BHCS revenue cycle departments. Directs revenue cycle assessments, analysis, planning, and training of processredesigns. This position will be responsible for balancing individual departmentimprovement needs against the needs of the overall revenue cycle.
