Derivative Accounting & Reporting Manager
Primary responsibilities include coordinating the accounting and reporting for Enterprise's FAS 133 Derivative Accounting process, including Energy Trading, Interest Rate Swaps, Foreign Exchange Transactions and others. Includes the following: Monitor latest developments of FAS 133 guidance and its impact on Enterprise and its subsidiaries; Analyze and document contracts for derivatives and embedded derivatives; Determine and document normal purchase/normal sale exceptions for applicable contracts; Document and designate applicable transactions as hedges; Measure and monitor effectiveness of existing hedge documented transactions working with appropriate departments; Monitor existing contract designations and determine if any changes have occurred and document/communicate impact on Enterprise and its subsidiaries; Perform back testing and forward testing procedures and document results; Act as liaison with external auditors regarding complex transactions; Prepare and update Sarbanes Oxley narratives as well as corporate policies and procedures for derivative accounting processes; Assist/lead special projects to ensure their success. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls.
Required: Accounting degree and current CPA certification. Four to eight years of well developed accounting and industry related experience. Derivative Accounting experience. Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Desired: “Big 4” accounting experience. SAP experience (FI and Controlling (CO) modules).
