Degreed, entry level Financial Analyst needed for growing Fortune 1000 Retailer

Sally Beauty Holdings is the world’s largest wholesale and retail distributor of beauty supplies.  Our corporate office is conveniently located just 5 minutes north of Lake Lewisville off of I35E.

 

We currently have an opening for an entry level Financial Analyst.  This position is primarily responsible for the financial analysis, reporting, and review of the Beauty Systems Group divisional operations in the U.S. and Canada.

 

Primary Duties:

 Participate in the review of BSG financial and operational activities, such as sales, sales return, cost of sales, profit margin, and overall financial statement review.Assist in the preparation and review of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements to support executive management meetings.  Coordinate with internal and external associates on required monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.Review and ensure accuracy of financial statements. Understand underlying operational activities of each operating division.Preparation of financial reports using Excel and Access.Special projects as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 Â§ Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited college or university.§ We prefer up to 1 year in a financial planning environment (either through internships or direct work experience), preferably with a multi location retail operation.Must have an understanding of the operations side of an organization as it relates to the overall financial picture.Strong knowledge of accounting principles.Proficient in the use of MS Excel.Must be able to work as part of a team.Must be detail oriented, self motivated, and driven.Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
