Major brands include Checkpoint, Creative Solutions and RIA.   The Data Manager (Entry Level): Supports the creation and maintenance of databases that feed Web-based, print and CD-ROM products for Tax, Accounting & Auditing and Corporate Finance professionals.  Supports authored material, from both inside and outside authors, as well as official government material, such as court cases, laws, and other official documents. Supports products with deadlines ranging from daily to annually for Web, CD and print products.  Will successfully process large amounts of information - ensuring proper linking, searchability, product integration and presentation. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures data is correctly coded, allowing proper presentation for all publication media, and enabling hypertext links and searching for Web-based products. Ensures data follows defined rules for its particular data/content type. Understands and resolves data and composition errors. Reads, organizes, compiles and updates citation information. Delivers final product files for all media. Converts non-coded data to coded data. Assists in converting existing coded data to an enhanced data structure. Assists in the updating of laws, rules and other official government material, and in the preparation of Table of Contents and printed Finding Lists. Responsible for quality assurance through all steps of production. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. College-level grammar and accurate punctuation skills a must. Able to work in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment and meet tight deadlines. Must be computer literate, possess strong organizational skills and display great attention to detail.  Knowledge of SGML, XML or HTML is a plus. Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat is a plus. Strong Excel and Word skills preferred. Strong interpersonal skills required.  Internet searching skills required.
