DIVISION CONTROLLER

 

Our client, and internationally recognized communications equipment developer, based in the greater Boston area, has a key requirement for a versatile financial professional.

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

The Division Controller is responsible for business partnering with the VP & General Manager and the corporate business organization.  Support includes financial modeling associated with business events (product rollouts, pricing initiatives, staffing changes, etc.), analysis of product and platform profitability and R&D spending, reporting of financial operating results to the division team, coordination of the budget and planning process development of the financial forecast, as well as supporting corporate finance initiatives.  The Controller is also responsible for preparation of materials to be presented to senior management and the Board of Directors together with other special projects.  Financial planning and analysis to drive strategic plans, annual operating plans, and other business initiatives and programsDevelop and deliver monthly and quarterly financial operating packages Deliver financial forecasts (three forward quarters) each month  Develop financial models to support alternative business outcomes to complex business issues and offer financial recommendations to business managementManage and control spending (operating and capital), staffing, and funding of within budget guidelinesParticipate in corporate development of key processes and evaluation criteria associated with projects, programs, and peopleProvide controllership, business partnering, and reporting to the business group on product and platform profitabilityAct as a liaison to corporate finance staff in the annual budgeting process and other top-down requests to ensure that they are managed appropriately and effectively Support the VP-Corporate Controller in evaluating new financial policies and procedures and in ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and other corporate policies



Experience/Qual/Edu: Finance MBA or CPA preferred10+ years of progressive financial operating management experience with most of the experience centered on providing financial support to operating businesses Experience with SAP or Hyperion preferredExceptional results orientation, with a high degree of personal initiative and leadershipOutstanding analytical skills and proven ability to connect data analysis with business issues and decisions.  Advanced Excel and modeling skills and strong presentation skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact successfully with all management levelsExcellent project management skills and attention to detail



SALARY:
To $120,000 + Bonus + Options
