Credit Risk Manager

Location: Stamford, CT 06901 Employment Type: Full Time, Employee DescriptionThe Credit Risk Manager will be responsible for two of the most critical aspects of the financial statements – the loan loss reserve and credit losses. Key activities include overseeing the calculation of the required loan loss reserve, the maintenance of the loan loss reserve model, the reporting of actual loan losses, the communication of loan loss information (internally and externally) and the forecasting process.  The position will work closely with other members of the Credit Department as well as the Accounting and Corporate Credit teams.   Primary Responsibilities include: Understanding the loss reserve model and overseeing refinements to adjust to various changes in portfolio / business conditions /policy. Overseeing delivery of loan loss reserve requirements or forecasts on a timely basis. Communicating with senior management regarding loan loss reserve activity and issues.  Ensuring compliance with policies relating to loan loss reserve. Participating in the review and drafting of SEC reports in the areas of loan loss reserves and loan credit performance.  Working with internal and external auditors on loan loss reserve issues. Ensuring adequate internal control processes around loan loss reserve and credit expense. Overseeing a small team of analysts responsible for the loan loss reserve work.
