Responsibilities include: Cost accountingVariance analysisFinancial reporting for various construction projectsAssisting in financial statement preparation and analysisPreparation and analysis of cost to complete estimatesPercentage of completion accountingReconciliation of subsidiary and general ledger accountsVariance and account analysisCreate and post journal entriesAnnual budgetingReview of invoices, releases, contracts, change orders, insurance certificates, etc., for accuracy and compliance with legal and contractual requirementsFinancial report preparationVarious other functions within the accounting department
Requirements:BS/BA in Accounting or Finance preferredConstruction industry experience required3+ years accounting experience and must include general ledger, cost coding for construction projects, labor distribution, liens, releases, preliminary notices, and insurance requirements. Proficiency with Windows environment, especially Excel and WordExcellent oral and written communications skillsTeam playerQuick learnerExperience with Timberline Construction Software
