Accounting Firm in the Philadelphia, PA area is seeking a Cost Classification - Senior Manager.

Earn a salary of $80,000 - $90,000 at this full-time, direct hire position.

Job Description: Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality. Run client engagements from start to finish, which includes planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects and managing to budget. Serve as business advisor to client. Conduct cost classification studies and projects including technical tax research, analyzing tangible property and land improvements for possible misclassification, site inspections, blueprint and load analysis, providing updated depreciation schedules for reclassified assets, analyzing client records and systems and collect data, Internet searches, and preparing reports. Formulate and deliver innovative tax planning and tax savings strategies. Identify and capitalize on opportunities to sell cost classification tax services and identify opportunities to cross-sell various tax opportunities outside of cost classification services. Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and to make sure deadlines are met. Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on tax projects and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews; perform in-charge role as needed. Maintain a good working relationship with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and work with client management and staff at all levels to perform tax services. Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve tax-related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements. Assist partners and senior management on proposals and business development calls. Gain comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives and utilize that knowledge on engagements. Participate in recruiting efforts as needed. Attend professional development and training seminars on a regular basis. Perform other job-related duties as necessary.

Requirements: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, Architecture, Accounting, or related field. Two to four years of cost classification/segregation/recovery, or tax depreciation consulting experience, preferably in public accounting, with expertise in the federal rules and regulations governing tax depreciation or a strong engineering background. Construction experience in cost estimating and blueprint reading preferred. Superior analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills. Ability to supervise staff and lead projects. Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships. Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment. Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills and strong attention to detail. Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology. Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
