Cost Accountant / Controller

Cost Accountant transitioning into Controller Position Available in NE Metro!!!!

The Accountant will play a critical role in the overall success of the organization by providing accounting support.  The position is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), as well as assisting the Controller in month-end closing activity, management reporting, payroll processing, and other general accounting duties.The job requires a well organized individual with a strong attention to detail and has the potential to grow into a controller position. The position is located in

Minneapolis, MN and will report to the Controller and/or President.

 

Qualifications

 

Computer Knowledge: Cost Accounting Software (preferred), Excel, Word.

 Ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy.

 Communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with associates, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.

 Good attitude and high degree of professionalism.

 Flexible approach to changing priorities.

 Ability to organize and prioritize.

 Ability to work independently.

 Ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.

 BA in Accounting or related field, and 2-5 years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
