Corporate Tax Manager

New York City's Premier Real Estate Development Company is currently looking for a Corporate Tax Manager to join their staff.  The position will pay in the range of 125K to 175K depending on experience. The essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:
Oversee federal, state, and foreign tax filings.
Determine tax consequences of company actions; recommend strategies minimizing the tax burden and policies for minimizing risk.
Interact with business units to identify and resolve tax issues and audits.
Adhere to and provide recommendations for improving tax related processes.
Participate in accounting for income taxes.
Analyze, monitor, and pursue legislative, regulatory, and judicial state tax developments. 
Lead, mentor, and develop tax professionals.
Support and partner with personnel to successfully defend filing positions and to negotiate favorable resolutions of proposed deficiencies.
Facilitate activities of outside advisers engaged to assist in tax controversy matters. 
Participate in reviews of ongoing business activities and proposed transactions to properly advise management of tax consequences and opportunities, with emphasis on tax efficiency and compliance with legal requirements. 
Perform other duties as requested.
 
Qualifications are:
Degree in Accounting required with 5-10 years of experience in corporate tax. CPA preferred and a Masters of Tax degree a plus.  Strong FAS 109 experience preferred.  Must be a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills.  Strong computer and IT skills a must.  Some travel may be required. Please send you resume and salary reguirements to DavidBKlein@aol.com
