ControllerOur client is one of the largest and most diverse global public corporation. They are looking for a Controller for a division of their corp located in Chester Co, PA. This division is focused on the leasing industry for various corporations in the construction, shipping, and education industries. The details of the position are as follows. Responsible for all technical accounting and consolidations of each business Responsible for design and functionality of internal controls Work hand in hand with General Counsel for compliance purposes Responsible for SOX implementation and updates Oversee internal audit function Provide high level management by overseeing the general accounting and auditing practices Lead various internal projects and conduct presentations to executive management Qualifications: BS Degree in Accounting or Finance 8 yrs public accounting experience from a big 4 firm or a tier II firm with public client exposure CPA required Strong technical aptitude with extensive experience in SEC reporting, SOX, and strong knowledge of GAAP Leasing industry experience preferred but not required Excellent leadership abilities and capable of communicating with executive management on a regular basis Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
